AI search: GEO, AEO and LLM optimisation
Get found and cited in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot and Claude.
What it is
More and more people get answers from AI instead of a list of links. GEO (generative engine optimisation), AEO (answer engine optimisation) and LLM optimisation all mean the same goal: make your site easy for AI engines to reach, understand and quote.
Check my site
Open your site > AI search (GEO) and click Check my site. In about a minute you get a readiness score and a to-do list:
- Crawler access: for each AI crawler (ChatGPT search, Perplexity, Claude, Google, Bing, and training bots) whether your robots.txt allows it, and whether your firewall or CDN blocks AI bots even when robots.txt allows them (common with Cloudflare's AI bot blocking).
- Brand signals: Organization schema with social profiles, WebSite schema, llms.txt, sitemap, and whether Search Console, Bing and IndexNow are connected.
- Page answer readiness: for your most important pages, whether they open with a direct answer, use question headings, lists or tables, FAQ/HowTo/Article/Product structured data, show dates and authors, include facts and figures and cite sources.
Training bots (such as GPTBot or Google-Extended) are your choice: blocking them does not remove you from AI search. Blocking search bots (OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Claude-SearchBot, Bingbot, Googlebot) does.
Make answer-ready
Pick a page and click Make answer-ready. AI drafts, from the page's own text only: the main question, a 40-60 word opening answer, question headings, an FAQ of 4-6 questions and FAQ structured data to paste in. Nothing is changed on your site. Each draft uses one "AI answer-ready rewrite" from your plan.
llms.txt
SEOSID builds an llms.txt file (a short guide to your most important pages for AI assistants) from your real pages. Add a one-line description of your business, then:
- WordPress: published at /llms.txt automatically by plugin 1.0.0+ (unless you already have the file).
- Website projects: download it and upload it to your site's main folder.
- Shopify: add it as a page, or redirect /llms.txt to a page with the content.
Content that gets cited
Blog Studio writes every article answer-first, with key takeaways, question headings and an FAQ. AI answer checks (Competitors & AI) show whether AI assistants mention your brand for your keywords.
Nobody can guarantee AI citations; these steps make your pages easier to understand, trust and quote.
