Keyword research and rank tracking
Track your Google positions for the searches you choose, with history charts, and find new keyword ideas.
Track your keywords
Open Keywords & rankings and use Track keywords. Type the searches you want to rank for, one per line, then choose:
- Country: a single country, or All countries.
- Device: all devices, desktop, mobile or tablet.
- More targeting (optional): language, city or region, and the page that should rank.
The Free plan tracks 10 keywords per website; paid plans track 50 (the limit is shown on the page). Stop tracking a keyword at any time to free a slot.
Where positions come from
SEOSID has its own rank tracker with two sources:
- With Google Search Console connected (free, recommended): Google's own record of where your site appeared. Position is the 7-day average weighted by impressions, with clicks and impressions, and up to 90 days of history load as soon as you add a keyword. Search Console data is about 2 days behind.
- Without Search Console (paid plans): SEOSID reads Google's results page for each keyword in your chosen country (or city), language and device, and finds your site in the top 100. New keywords get their first position within about 15 minutes. On the Free plan, connect Search Console (and Bing Webmaster Tools) to see positions.
It does not depend on Semrush or Ahrefs. Connect Bing Webmaster Tools to see Bing positions as well.
Updates
- With Search Console: weekly on Free, daily on paid plans.
- Without Search Console: every 3 days on paid plans.
- Update now refreshes one keyword (at most every 12 hours; on Free without Search Console, once per weekly cycle).
History and changes
Click a keyword (or History) to see its chart, best position, clicks, impressions and the last 30 days. The summary at the top counts keywords in the top 10 and how many improved or declined compared with the week before.
City and language targeting
City and language are used by the results-page tracker (without Search Console). Search Console itself reports by country and device.
Keyword ideas
Find keywords (paid plans) suggests related searches with monthly volume, difficulty and intent. Each research uses one keyword lookup from your plan. On Free, track the searches Search Console and Bing show you already appear for. Tick ideas and save them to track them.
Rankings are never guaranteed. Positions move with Google updates, competition and seasonality.
